Caskets on sale at warehouse club
Shop warehouse clubs for industrial-size evaporated milk, big screen TVs and engagement rings. But coffins? Looks like funeral homes have some competition and it pays to shop around.

BJs.com features 17 casket varieties, priced from $800 to $2,900, including free shipping.
No detail was spared in the Star Legacy Floral Elegance casket ($1,700), with its antique white finish, pink velvet bedding, floral embroidery and adjustable bed. The warehouse club, with four locations in Delaware, also sells urns for man and man's best friend, priced from $165, including free shipping. To sweeten the deal, BJ's is now offering new members a free 60-day trial membership through July 6.
Costco Wholesale, which operates a warehouse in Newark, also got in the game. Its website, http://www.costco.com, highlights nine varieties of caskets from $1,300 to $3,000, including expedited shipping. Models delivered through standard shipping start at $950. Costco also offers keepsakes, urns and sympathy flowers.
Not to be overshadowed, Wal-Mart, with four Delaware locations, offers 15 casket varieties starting at $899 (shipping is extra), along with marble urns at http://www.walmart.com.
Wal-Mart's warehouse concept, Sam's Club, only offers floral arrangements.
And the only urns sold on its website are of the plant and iced tea variety.
